At the beginning of 2009, Koni won the bid at first on Thailand Weichengfa Iron and Steel Factory 3300 Medium Plate Mill Project, which is a good start for this new year.

Jiamusi Electric Group and Jiangte Electric Motor Company bid this project together with Koni. After price competition and technology communication, Koni came to the fore and got tender’s appraise. They considered that Koni has shown its abilities on development and design in technology communication, which plays important role on winning of the bid.

The products for this bid are YGP roller table motors and 1D series motors. Koni YGP series motor have been equipping to domestic major cold or hot rolled production line, such as Beitai Steel and Iron Group 1860MM cold rolled line, Western material Group rare refractory metal plate material production line; Koni 1D series motors is an up – grade series of general 3 phase asynchronous motor which have much improved on motor’s outshape, efficiency, insulation, protection degree, bearing, vibration and so on.

 

Thailand Weichengfa Group is one of 500 Chinese excellent corporations, its chairman Wu Yuyin is an outstanding Thailand nationality Chinese. Weichengfa group is the largest iron and steel enterprise in Thailand with annul production ability of 10 million tons. At present, a new tangle steel and iron factory is planed to be built in Thailand, its planned production capacity will be around 30 million tons which equal to that of Chinese Bao steel factory, this factory estimated to be finished within 8 years. At June 1st, 2009, Thailand and China marvelous steel and iron project EPC contract was signed formally, Weichengfa group will purchase 10 billion dollars metallurgical equipment from China to complete this contract.
